Refund and Cancellation Policy – BharatFare
Effective Date: August 31, 2025
This policy describes in detail how refunds, cancellations, airline disruptions, and booking changes are handled. It is written to clearly define user responsibilities, airline control, and the limited role of BharatFare.
1. General Overview
- All refunds and cancellations follow airline rules only.
- BharatFare does not decide refund amounts, penalties, waiver eligibility, or timelines.
- Airline systems determine the final outcome for every request.
2. Nature of BharatFare's Service
- BharatFare provides a booking facilitation service.
- Once a booking is processed and a PNR is created, the airline becomes responsible for all operational decisions.
- BharatFare cannot alter or negotiate any airline rule.
3. Refundable Ticket Policy
- Refundable tickets may offer partial or full refunds depending on the airline.
- Airlines deduct cancellation charges based on fare conditions.
- The refundable amount shown during booking is indicative and not final until airline assessment.
4. Non Refundable Ticket Policy
- Non refundable fares do not qualify for refunds.
- In certain cases the airline may return government taxes only.
- Some airlines strictly prohibit any refund for these fares.
5. Promotional and Discounted Fare Policy
- Tickets purchased during sales, promotions, corporate deals, or special discounts usually carry rigid conditions.
- Most of these fares offer no refund at all.
- These fare rules take priority over any general policy.
6. BharatFare Service Fee Policy
- Service fees for booking handling and support are not refundable under any circumstances once the booking is processed.
- These fees cover system usage, communication, verification, and payment handling.
7. Multi Passenger Booking Policy
- Refund rules apply per passenger.
- If one passenger cancels in a group booking, the airline may treat the entire booking as a single record and permit or deny partial refunds depending on rules.
8. Airline Cancellation Policy
- When an airline cancels a flight, the user may receive a refund or alternative travel option.
- Choices depend fully on the airline.
- BharatFare cannot provide additional compensation or commitments beyond what the airline offers.
9. Schedule Change Policy
- Airlines may modify flight timings.
- If the airline considers the change significant, it may allow free changes or refunds.
- If the airline considers the change minor, penalties may still apply.
- BharatFare follows the airline decision.
10. Refund Processing Duration
- Airline refund duration ranges between seven and twenty one working days.
- During peak seasons or operational disruptions refunds may take longer.
- BharatFare processes refunds within one to three working days after airline release.
11. Original Payment Method Refund Policy
- Refunds are always returned to the original payment method.
- BharatFare cannot send refunds to alternate accounts for security reasons.
12. Chargeback and Payment Dispute Policy
- If a user files a chargeback, BharatFare will submit full documentation to the bank.
- If the chargeback is unjustified, the user may be permanently restricted from using the platform.
- BharatFare reserves the right to recover losses.
13. No Show Policy
- A no show occurs if the passenger does not report at the airport on time.
- Airlines impose a full penalty for no show tickets.
- No show bookings are not eligible for refund or date change.
14. Incorrect Information Policy
- If the user enters incorrect information such as wrong name, date of birth, passport number, or travel date, the airline may refuse refunds.
- Any correction fees must be paid by the user.
- Some airlines do not allow corrections at all.
15. Visa, Immigration, and Travel Document Policy
- If boarding is denied due to visa rejection, expired documents, or non compliance with immigration rules, refunds follow fare rules.
- BharatFare is not responsible for losses in such situations.
16. Medical and Emergency Cancellation Policy
- Some airlines may consider medical emergencies for partial waivers.
- This must be supported by documents and is entirely up to airline approval.
- BharatFare cannot assure any waiver.
17. Weather, Strike, and Force Majeure Policy
- Disruptions caused by weather, airport shutdowns, strikes, natural events, or government orders are handled as per airline instructions.
- Airlines may offer date changes or refunds depending on internal rules.
- BharatFare cannot influence outcomes.
18. Duplicate Booking Policy
- If a user accidentally books the same passenger on similar flights, the airline may cancel one booking without refund.
- BharatFare is not responsible for losses caused by duplicates.
19. Transit and Connection Policy
- If a user misses a transit flight due to delay of a separate booking, the airline may not offer support.
- Refunds depend on fare conditions.
- BharatFare cannot assist in missed connection cases for separate tickets.
20. Currency Conversion Policy
- When transactions involve multiple currencies, refund amounts may vary due to exchange rates or bank fees.
- BharatFare does not control exchange rates and is not responsible for differences.
21. Special Service Request Policy
- Refunds for special services such as extra baggage, meals, seat selection, or priority services depend on airline rules.
- Most airlines do not refund ancillary services once used or confirmed.
22. Infant and Child Ticket Policy
- Refund and cancellation rules for infant and child tickets follow the same airline conditions.
- Additional documentation may be required by the airline.
23. Multi Airline Booking Policy
- For itineraries involving multiple airlines, each airline's rules apply separately.
- One airline may permit a refund while another may not.
- BharatFare cannot combine or override rules from different carriers.
24. Policy Amendment Rights
- BharatFare may modify this policy without prior notice.
- The latest version applies to all bookings.
25. Support Contact
- For assistance with refund and cancellation cases, users may contact support@bharatfare.com. BharatFare will assist in following up with the airline but does not control the final outcome or timeline.
